This is a high quality wireless speaker system capable of delivering 80 watts of output. It is attractive, compact and versatile and it delivers terrific sound quality. The wireless link is 2.4 GHz and it offers static free transmission through walls and ceilings up to 100 feet. The dock is compatible with the vast majority of iPods and it also sports an FM tuner and an auxiliary port for other MP3 players or devices. You can control any connected device using the remote control and iPods will also charge while they are docked.

This system can also be expanded. Individual speakers have a left and right mode so you can split into two channels and use two speakers. You can also add additional speakers in other rooms and the system will support up to seven separate speakers. You can also get an optional wall bracket and fit them to the wall or they sit easily on a shelf or table. The two way design with dual 4 inch speakers and 1 inch tweeters delivers excellent sound. You can get this system for under $300.

It’s a generally accepted belief that a 5 or 7 dedicated channel surround system is pretty much always the better choice over a sound bar, but there are times when it’s just not feasible.  Whether your space is limited, or you don’t want to deal with wiring speakers all over the place, there is absolutely a market for good quality sound bars.  Vizio’s latest sound bar product (model VSB210WS) has the added bonus of a wireless subwoofer.  A subwoofer is always good to have, and the fact that it’s a wireless subwoofer makes it even more appealing to those looking for ease of setup and flexibility of positioning within their room.

The Vizio sound bar with wireless subwoofer is a smart-looking system.  It will blend in with many types of decor and if you have a Vizio TV, then it’s sure to blend in well.  The sound bar has a mesh front over with a brushed metal Vizio badge right in the middle.  The rest of the housing is high gloss black plastic with “chrome” edging.  On the bottom of the sound bar housing are some metal brckets that double as a stand or wall mounts.  This same motif is applied to the subwoofer as well (mesh front cover, high gloss black cabinet).

While the surround effect is not amazing and the TruVolume audio output leveling system will limit all audio (not just the commericals), there’s definitely something to be said for a sound bar with wireless subwoofer for the price at which you can get the Vizio VSB21oWS.  The sound bar is still a significant improvement over the built-in speakers and a wireless subwoofer is really pretty awesome.  The wireless actually works very well – there was no noticeable delay of any kind and it worked out of the box.  I do wish the subwoofer was a bit more powerful and had a bit more frequency range on the lower end.  The LED indicator/status array was a bit wonky, but it’s definitely something that’s possible to get used to.  Major kudos to Vizio for making this system so simple to setup and use.

Unlike other speakers, the speakers do not require external power or batteries. the pipe bend and splay in the end strengthen the voice that can be distributed so that reach 55 decibel, or equivalent with a maximum volume of laptop speakers.

For those who want to have it, should rush order Phonofonics II because this is only made by Apple as much as 200 units only, with the price $ 875

The newest Bose speaker uses an RF USB dongle. I thought it would use Wi-Fi.

This can be used for your desktop computer, but, it seems like something most of us owns in one form or another. You decide.

The $550 speaker can transmit through rooms and walls (obviously), comes with a 3.5mm auxiliary jack and has a rechargable battery that lasts 3 hours. While the sound quality of this thing will more than likely be excellent, a USB dongle seems a bit janky (though I’m sure their filthy rich, technophile audience will love it).Will Bose wait until the fall to unveil the Bose Soundlink II? Let’s wait and see.

Car stereo speakers are interesting and very tempting to buy, especially the big loud ones. But big is not always the best. Each speaker has its own unique quality, intended use and price range. Some may also be better than others at certain things so it pays to investigate your type of car stereo amplifier or head unit before you finally decide on a car stereo speaker for your system. The much-maligned “home theater in a box” (HTiB) category has had a tough time shaking its “Home Theater for Dummies” reputation, perceived as putting value and convenience above all else, including performance. And while the Panasonic SC-BT200 Blu-ray Theater was quick and painless to install and the overall value is tremendous, at some point during my demos I realized that tucked away in the carton between the molded Styrofoam and bags of accessories, there were some major audio features and solid performance.

Look a little deeper and you’ll find that the SC-BT200 packs some pretty high-end video guts for a “lifestyle” product, especially one so affordable. Panasonic has a great big building in Southern California (I’ve been there) where guys in labcoats are dedicated to keeping the company at least slightly ahead of their time, with some of the most consistently put-your-eyeballs-back-in-your-head picture quality.

Thanks to breakthroughs like the PHL (Panasonic Hollywood Labs) Reference Chroma Processor Plus and P4HD (Pixel Precision Progressive Processing for HD), Panasonic Blu-ray players can keep up with the best of them with high quality DVD upconversion and breathtaking Blu-ray image quality. Features such as high-precision 4:4:4 color output,  1080/24p Playback for Blu-ray Discs and DVDs (if supported by both software and display) and Deep Color support are things you rarely see in mid- to high-end standalone Blu-ray players, let alone packaged HTiB systems.

Turn-Ons:

* Don’t be fooled by the small speakers: They pump out BIG sound.
* Convenient audio inputs for additional sources, but…

Turn-Offs:

* …No video inputs beyond the iPod dock
* While impressive, video quality lacks the “wow” factor of other recent Panasonic standalone Blu-ray offerings

Final Thoughts

The video was definitely respectable, but with Panasonic’s Hollywood pedigree, I was certainly not expecting the audio to exceed it, especially with those microspeakers and that bargain pricetag. But the SC-BT200 rocks, and can turn an LCD or plasma into a full-blown home theater, in minutes.
